The known Danish debater Lars Hedegaard has been charged by the Copenhagen Police for revealing the name of his assassin, (a man now fighting for ISIS), Lars Hedegaard confirms to tv2.dk.
- The thing is that I have written two articles in a Swedish magazine that mentioned the name of the assassin. But I do not think the name prohibition applies there, he says.
Lars Hedegaard says that the name already in April last year appeared in Turkish media.
- Do you have to be dragged to court for quoting Turkish media?, he asks rhetorically.
Lars Hedegaard says he takes the charge with 'equanimity'.
- If they want a trial, they will have a trial. They will get a fight to the end, says the well-known commentator.
- First of all I am pleased that the Copenhagen Police have so many resources that they can spend time with legal actions against me, he says ironically.
