There were no attacks by insurgents in eastern Ukraine early Sunday, according to the Ukrainian defense. Simultaneously, they argue that separatists are exploiting the ceasefire to prepare new attacks.

- To mislead OSCE representatives rebels moves military equipment from the front, and bring it back at night, says military spokesman Andrij Lysenko.

- There are signs that the enemy is preparing further attacks, he says and emphasized in particular that the strategically important port city Mariupol may be attacked.

The ceasefire between the parties should apply from February 15, but after that time the rebels took control over the strategically important town Debaltseve.

According to Lysenko there were no fights during Saturday night, but separatists, according to the military spokesman, attacked Ukrainian government forces positions 34 times and wounded eight soldiers during Saturday.

Separatists on the other hand claims that Ukrainian forces have shot missiles against Donetsk 26 times in the last 24 hours, according to the rebel news service DAN.
