The radical Islamist and self-proclaimed British Imam Anjem Chouadry is far from happy with the current edition of Charlie Hebdo. He describes the release as a "declaration of war",The Independent reports.

It is especially the cover Chouadry reacts to. The Prophet Muhammad cries, but says that "I'm Charlie," and "It's all forgiven."

Chouadry thinks the cover "makes fun" of Muhammad, calling the recent caricature "extremely serious", the British newspaper reports. Presenting the Prophet in such a way "attacking the Prophet honor," Chouadry says and that Muhammad is not to be drawned.

The Imam says that the release is a "declaration of war" and that it would have caused a violent punishment if treated in a Sharia court. He also says that the Charlie Hebdo cover is a "blatant provocation". It is meant to offend Islam and Muslims as "part of the ongoing war."
