Melbourne Airport Terminal Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat
According to The Age, Melbourne Airport has confirmed it is responding to a security threat directed at Tigerair, the airport has confirmed.

Spokeswoman for Melbourne Airport Anna Gillett said Tigerair's flights had been cancelled as authorities respond.

"We are responding to a security alert that's directed specifically at Tiger Airways at Melbourne Airport," she said.

She said the security threat arose at about 9pm on Friday, but she could not comment on the nature of the threat.

"All the relevant authorities including the Australian Federal Police and the Victorian Police are on the scene," she said.

She said she did not have an estimated time of when the terminal may reopen.
