While archrival Real Madrid is on its way to sign the Norwegian super talent Martin Ødegaard, there is unrest in the Catalan club Barcelona.
In recent days, rumors were swirling: Lionel Messi could be on his way out.
Many players have been frustrated by manager Luis Enrique.
And now the Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov comes with harsh criticism.
- They must take care of the world's best footballer. Barcelona's problems are within the club. Messi should end his career at the club. There must be an end to the internal conflicts, says the legend to AS.
Stoichkov played a total of eight seasons in Barcelona divided by two periods. He had 178 appearances for the club and scored 85 goals.
Hristo Stoichkov is particularly disappointed by Luis Suarez role. The Uruguayan was hot in Liverpool last season, scoring 31 goals in the Premier League.
This season he stands with only one goal in La Liga.
- It is Xavi and Iniesta who gets all the shit, but which players did the club obtain? I can not fathom why Barcelona
didn't try to sign Isco or Toni Kroos. It is not Luis Suarez 'fault that he do not perform. He is born a born goalgetter, nevertheless Barcelona destroys him just like they did with Samuel Eto'o and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Stoichkov says, and refers to that the center forward spot is reserved for the little magician Messi.
