Shocking figures from Denmark

Shocking figures from Denmark
Denmark is currently going through a period in which number of inhabitants of Danish origin is decreasing while the number of immigrants and their descendants are steadily increasing.

Figures issued by the Economy and domestic Ministry, shows that in the period between January 1, 2013 to January 1, 2014, there had been 789 fewer people of Danish origin compared to the corresponding period last year.

On the other hand, the number of immigrants and their descendants in the same period increased by a total of 27,396 people, according to figures the Ministry has obtained from Statistics Denmark.

More than six times as many immigrants the last five years

Over a five year period, from January 1, 2009 to January 1, 2014, it turns out that population growth of immigrants and their descendants are more than six times as large as the population growth of ethnic Danes.

Overall, the population increased in the period with a total of 115,784 people, but only 15,750 had Danish origin. The remaining 100,034 were immigrants and their descendants, and non-Western immigrants and their descendants, primarily refugees, stood for more than half of the total, 51,357 people.

This means that the figures shows a population growth that consists of more than six times as many immigrants as Danes.
