A caretaker recently made an eerie discovery in Karlstad in Sweden. He found one of the residents, a woman in her 70s, dead in her apartment.
- There was a little moisture on the outside wall of the building, and I wanted to ensure that there was no moisture also in the apartment. I did not get in touch with the woman who lived in the apartment, so I contacted the bailiff and a locksmith to get in. That was how we found her, Bo-Lennart Christensen, says to Värmland Folkblad.
Bo-Lennart Christensen found the deceased woman in early November, and the police in Värmland has since investigated the matter. Press spokesman Tommy Lindh says to Värmland Folkblad that the woman has probably been dead in his apartment for two years.
- It is our assumption based on the findings we have done in the apartment, he said.
The woman's rent and other bills have apparently been paid automatically through the past two years, and no one has apparently missed the woman.
- It is disturbing that people just die this way and nobody miss them. It is very sad, press spokesman for the police in Värmland, Tommy Lindh, says.
