Rome, Italy --- Somali immigrant enters the delivery room in Rome hospital and tries to rape a woman in labor

A scandal has occurred in a hospital in Rome, where a Somali man, after overcoming every kind of control, entered the delivery room and tried to rape a woman in full labor, reports Italian media.

The perpetrator, a 38-year-old Somali citizen, stole a green nursing uniform from a warehouse at the Sant'Eugenio hospital in Rome on New Year's Eve and, after entering the delivery room, attempted to rape a 43-year-old woman in labor.

The man went into the ward of Sant'Eugenio Hospital while the woman was giving birth and reportedly began groping her.

She fended him off and called nurses who seized the man until police arrived.

The man was then arrested by police officers and charged with sexual assault.
