In the Swedish multicultural city of Malmö, Sweden's third largest, where the Swedes became a minority several years ago, followed by a crime rate consisting of serious crime such as bombs going off, shootings occurring on a weekly basis and rapes on a daily basis, cemetery staff and the Church now sound the alarm as funeral guests arrive to the cemetery carrying guns and bulletproof vests.

It's not just at the hospitals in Malmö that the staff experience a threatening mood when someone is shot and killed. A deadly shooting is also followed by a funeral, and church staff have now received funeral guests whom they perceive as threatening, SVT reports.

- Some are carrying weapons, we also see bulletproof vests. For our employees, it is threatening to have weapons in their immediate vicinity, says Sven-Erik Aspeklev, Cemetery Manager.

Carrying illegal weapons to a funeral is obviously illegal, but the Church, instead of immediately calling the police, plans to educate its staff to handle the situation.

Armed funeral guest is a new phenomenon, says Sven-Erik Aspeklev. The Cemetery Administration is therefore procuring education for all 230 employees.

- What kind of situations can we face? How can we meet them? How can we prepare staff and managers?

Today, staff members are advised not to be near a funeral where someone is carrying weapons, says Sven-Erik Aspeklev.

- If you experience the situation as threatening, leave the place.
