Large police forces are now looking for the perpetrator who fled the scene after beating and stabbing a women to death in front of several witnesses, reports Aftonbladet.

- Police received several calls from people who witnessed the woman being beaten and kicked on the street. We got there and found her dead, says Jonas Partheen, press officer for the police in Västmanland, to Expressen.

The area is cordoned off for technical investigations, and large police forces are now looking for the perpetrator who fled the scene.

- We used as much resources as possible. We have patrol cars, dogs and a helicopter in place, Jonas Partheen told Expressen.

So far police have not given any information describing the perpetrator, even though they have received this by witnesses, writes SVT.

Nor have they found any motive for the killing.

The women has also not been identified, according to SVT.

The woman was attacked by the man on the street in central Surahammar in Västmanland.
