The International Space Station (ISS) recently conducted a live interview with Earth, where the delay of the sound was about 11 seconds, only it had some rather obvious flaws.
Other interviews with the ISS show a lot less delay, however, while astronaut Chris Hadfield was able to sing a song perfectly synchronised with an artist on Earth, without any delay at all.
More and more people are starting to question if there actually are people onboard the ISS or if every recording is made in a free fall plane or if the so-called astronauts are wearing harnesses. After all, there are enormous sums of money involved (currently NASA receives funding of $18.3 billion, to be raised to $19.1 billion next year).
So how long should the delay be, 11 seconds or none? Well, you decide for yourself:
