- Oslo may not be as Kabul!
Leader of the Democrats in Norway, Makvan Kasheikal, is merciless in his criticism of Oslo.

- It is very sad to see that parts of Oslo have lost its identity, and that I do not think is okay, says Kesheikal to 24avisen.com

Kesheikal says his party wants to lead a much more stringent immigration policy, so that Oslo regains its Norwegian identity and does not become even worse.

- People have to say that enough is enough, we can not let Oslo become like Kabul, he says.

Wants to ban Sharia

The Iranian-born party leader for the Democrats, who came to Norway from Iran in 1998, was elected chairman in June 2016. Kesheikal says that Norway may have the same problems as Sweden, unless the immigration policy is tightened more.

- If Norway does not change the immigration policy, it is matter of time before we get conditions like we have seen in Sweden in recent times. We need to ban Sharia (Islamic law) because it violates our basic western principles, he said.

He notes that Oslo now has neighbourhoods where immigrants are the majority, and in some places it is also dangerous to move at night.

The Democrats (Demokratene) is generally viewed as more right-wing than the right-wing government parties.
