ISIS terrorists released a new video Thursday showing another captured journalist.

In the 3-minute clip, John Cantlie, a British journalist, says he was kidnapped in 2012 while on assignment in Syria and claims to have previously written for the Sunday Times, the Sun, and the Sunday Telegraph.

Cantlie appears in an orange jumpsuit as he explains that his government has “abandoned” him and slams western media for “manipulating the truth.”

“Now, I know what you’re thinking,” he says “You’re thinking, “He’s only doing this because he’s a prisoner. He’s got a gun to his head and he’s being forced to do this.”

He continues: “But seeing as how I’ve been abandoned by my government and my fate now lies at the hands of the Islamic State, I have nothing to lose.”

Cantlie calmly explains that the Islamic State has freed captives from other European countries after their governments paid ransoms — an expense both U.S. and U.K leaders have refused to fund.

“I’m going to show you the truth behind the systems and motivation of the Islamic State, and how the Western media, the very organization I used to work for, can twist and manipulate that truth for the public back home,” he says.

Earlier this year, ISIS beheaded two Americans journalists, James Foley and Steven Sotloff, and one British aid worker, David Haines, on camera.

In Haines’ execution video, the last released by the terrorists, an ISIS fighter vowed to kill Alan Henning, a British cab driver, next.

The group did not threaten to kill Cantlie in the Thursday video.

The clip ends with Cantlie suggesting that the video is the first in a series: “Join me for the next programs and I think you might be surprised at what you learn,” he says.
