Swedish police have arrested three people suspected of having placed three timed bombs in Gothenburg. Two of the bombs were placed outside an asylum center, one of which went off, injuring an employee seriously. All of those arrested have connections to the Nazi organization Nordiska motståndsrörelsen (Nordic resistance), reports SVT.
In January, an employee at an reception center in Järnbrott was seriously injured when one of the bombs went off. Police classifies the incident as attempted murder.
- Our view is that all three detainees are or have been members of the Nordiska motståndsrörelsen, says Mats Ljungqvist, prosecutors at the National Unit for safety.
A 50-year-old man who was arrested on Thursday in northern Sweden, is suspected of attempted murder in connection with the bomb that exploded and injured one person seriously outside an asylum accommodation on January 5.
The other two cases are investigated as attempted "dangerous destruction."
The bombs were all timed.
It is a very dangerous development and sadly it is probably just the first signs of what's to come in the once so great country.
