Ten years before it was estimated to happen, Sweden reaches 10 million inhabitants.

The date is January 20, 2017, and now the Swedes are 10,000,000 people, writes NRK.

At 7:47 Friday morning, the population in Sweden officially passed ten million, according to the so-called population clock of Statistics, Statistiska Centralbyrån.

When the country passed nine million inhabitants, it was estimated that there would not be ten million people in Sweden until 2027.

The reason for the explosive population growth is connected to immigration.

In addition to those registered, there are thousands who live illegally in Sweden, people who came with the flow of migrants and refugees but who never registered, or they have received an eviction order and have gone underground.

Also the Swedes are about to become many more, as 300,000 cases of family reunifications are expected by 2019:

How the Swedes are suppose to manage such a large influx, almost twice as large as the chaos in 2015 - and with the trouble they are already in - nobody apparently can or wants to explain, but the families are coming, regardless.
