President Trump: We will eradicate radical Islamic terrorism
First of all, a big fat congratulations to America and the world at large!

As he delivered words that will go down in history President Donald Trump looked out across a sea of his supporters in front of the US Capitol.

Donald Trump framed his victory, not as shift "from one administration to another", but as a transfer of power from Washington "back to you, the people".

For "too long", the president said, a small group of people have "reaped the rewards" of American prosperity.

"Washington flourished but the people did not share in its wealth," he said. "The establishment protected itself but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories, their triumphs have not been your triumphs."

Among other things, he also talked about radical Islamic terrorism, and said the words his predecessor refused to take in his mouth for eight painful years:

“We will re-enforce old alliances and form new ones and unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the earth,” he said.
