Facebook trouble for users worldwide
Just after 6 o'clock Friday night (GMT), this was the screen that met Facebook users worldwide.

According to the website downdetector, which monitors error messages on various pages, people were struggling to open Facebook.

The graph also shows a huge increase in error messages after 6 o'clock tonight.

A quick search on Twitter also suggest that this issue does not only apply only to users in the UK, but worldwide.

The reason for the problems is currently not known.
