US Troops Forced To Help Grow Opium In Afghanistan
Before the current Afghanistan war, Afghanistan only produced 10 percent of the world’s heroin which is derived from the opium in poppy plants. Under US control, Afghanistan produces anywhere from 93 to 96 percent.

Soldiers such as football star Pat Tillman initially attempted to blow the whistle. Tillman later died under mysterious circumstances.

After this, the US came forward and claimed that the “new” policy of protecting and even paying for damaged crops was to combat the Taliban yet never acknowledged the colossal increase in production.
