DENMARK -- A woman was brutally attacked by three immigrant men in a forest when she was out walking her dog. But then the dog joined the fight.

There is a dog who deserves a little extra treat after it saved his owner from a brutal sexual assault Sunday morning, reports Lokalavisen.

On Sunday morning, police got a call that a 41-year-old woman who was walking her dog had been attacked by three men who came up to her in the woods.

North Zealand Police describe the assault in this way:

One grabbed her arms and tried to drag her away from the path, one took the leash away from her, while the third grabbed her buttocks and tried to touch her breasts.

The three men, however, did not count on the woman fighting back, and when her dog joined the battle and bit one of the men in the thigh, they fled the scene.

Police describe the perpetrators as having African and Middle East appearances.
