Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven reached out to superstars for help with his new multicultural globalisation project - but he was rejected by all.

Bruce Springsteen, Matt Damon, Meryl Streep, Alicia Vikander - The Swedish Prime Minister literally aimed for the stars when he asked for help with his new prestige project Global Deal. The stars were less impressed, however, and totally ignored Löfven, according to SVT.

"As a great admirer of both your work on the big screen and your social commitment, it is a true pleasure to write to you," wrote Stefan Löfven in the letter sent to superstars like Alicia Vikander, Matt Damon, Bruce Springsteen and Meryl Streep, among others.

The Prime Minister wanted to make an impact and bring a little bit of star dust to his new project Global Deal, which is intended as a global handshake between workers and employers, and would push for better conditions, equality and security (for newcomers, refugees and migrants). All this to presented in the UN building in New York.

Unfortunately, it seems Löfven had aimed a little too high, because so far only one has even taken the time to answer the prime minister: Meryl Streep's representative, who declined.

A large number of companies were also asked by Löfven, but even there the response and enthusiasm have been absent. Volvo, SKF, Axel Johnson AB, Skanska, Coca-Cola, Ford and Stora Enso, have so far declined to participate.

US Vice President Joe Biden recently visited Sweden and met Löfven, and then praised the project. Then Biden, however, announced that he will not attend Löfven's presentation in the UN building.

Löfven's press secretary, Dan Lundqvist-Dahlin, wrote in a text message to Expressen that they are still hoping for some positive responses from those invited

Normally it would be a privilege to attend something alongside a Prime Minister, even for superstars, of course if they really believe in the man and his strange multicultural globalisation ideas, which daily prove not to work.
