Swedish royalties visit unaccompanied refugee children
The Swedish Crown Princess and Prince last year visited the Ersta Diakoni asylum center for unaccompanied refugee children at the Lukasgården in Nacka, writes the Swedish magazine Damtidningen, which covers a lot of the activities by the country's royalties.

During the visit, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel met 20 young people aged 15-17 years old, who all came alone to Sweden, and are now waiting to get permanent residency in the country.

Victoria and Daniel sat down among the children to hear their stories and their dreams for the future.

- The important activities at Ersta made a strong impression. The power and ambition of the youths give hope for the future, said Victoria and Daniel after the visit at Lukasgården.

Leaks from the Swedish Migration Board has previously revealed that instructions are to accept and give status as unaccompanied refugee children if the person looks to be under 40 years old.
