The atmosphere was tense on Saturday evening in front of the Olympia shopping center in Munich, where a 18-year-old Muslim man killed nine people and injured 20.

The street in front of the mall was again open to pedestrians after being blocked off for 24 hours. People flocked to the site bringing flowers and candles.

In the evening, friends and relatives of the victims gathered for a moment of remembrance, but also citizens and passers-by who wanted to bring a greeting and make their presence felt.

Among others, a group of Muslims who allegedly had lost friends in the shooting came. After a heated monologue by one of them, who shouted against the "unjust world", and "we have to open our eyes, we do not live in a world where everything is good ... The world is broken, the world is over, open your eyes," the group began shouting "Allahu Akbar" (God is great). The same words that the terrorist said before he began shooting. Words that can take on a threatening tone in a period full of death and terror, because of the collective image that bombers and terrorists are "martyrs."

A group of Germans reacted and began to shout insults of all sorts at the Muslims. "Shut up with that Allahu Akbar shit, [email protected] you [email protected]," and the Muslim group shouted back.

Eventually the police were forced to form a cordon to separate the two groups.

Looking at this on a larger scale, with more terror, more anger, more segregation between Muslims and non-Muslims, it's not going to end well.
