A larger brawl broke out between masked vigilante groups and Moroccan gangs, who for some time have been accused of committing robberies and sexual offenses in central Stockholm, writes Fria Tider.
Police were alerted to the area around the central station and came to the scene equipped with riot gear. A police helicopter hang over the central station during the evening and has been in the air while the unrest continued.
The police would not comment on which groups are involved and fought against each other.
- These are young people from all different directions, it is not one specific group of people. There are a lot of different groups, as I said, there have been some clashes, said police spokesman Albin Näverberg, to Fria Tider.
According to Aftonbladet, one source told that the police had received a tip that hundreds of football hooligans were on their way to town to "clean up".
Ahead of the action, flyers were handed out, saying: "It's enough now".
The targets would be Moroccans, who for some months have been raging in the city, but that is information Näverberg would not comment, according to Fria Tider.

According to the police's website, one person is arrested on suspicion of assault and five people are taken into custody for, among other, offenses against the Weapons Act - as knives were found, assaulting a police officer and public disturbance.

Syrian refugee with machete kills one, injures 2 in Germany
A 21-year-old Syrian refugee killed a woman with a machete and injured two other people on Sunday before being arrested in the southern German city of Reutlingen
