An investor has acquired 4,000 books of the last edition of "Islam, the 11th plague". The investor plans to send the book to all politicians and all journalists as a gift, according to the Norwegian online newspaper Nettavisen.
The investor got the book as a Christmas gift, according to author Hege Storhaug. She would not reveal who it is.
- I could hardly believe it was true when I received the inquiry. He is a very enlightened person who has followed the development in Norway, Europe and the rest of the world, says Storhaug to Nettavisen.
The investor contacted the author on E-mail. The first books are to be delivered already on Tuesday.
Storhaug denies that the whole thing is a publicity stunt for the book.
- 4,000 books are more than normal circulation in Norway, says the author.
Hege Storhaug works for the Foundation Human Rights Service, which describes itself as "a politically independent think tank focusing on human rights and democracy in a multiethnic and multicultural society, particularly in relation to children, youths and women."
She will not say how much the investor paid for the books. The retail price is NOK 348, and a quick calculation shows that the value of 4,000 books is just under NOK 1,4 million, writes the newspaper.
