Sweden raises the threat level from level three to four, said the Swedish security police Säpo.

Head of Säpo, Anders Tornberg, confirms the decision to raise the threat level to the second highest.

According to SIX News it takes place on the basis of information that an Iraqi man with war experience from Syria has arrived to Sweden on Wednesday. There is fear that the man has planned terror in Sweden.

Danish police has also raised the threat level from "elevated" to "high", which is the second highest level in Denmark. This has happened as a result of the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Police Security Service (PST) in Norway have not raised the threat level as a result of the Paris-terror.

- We have strengthened staffing. We have received some information from abroad and from our own sources. On the basis of the information there is no reason to change our assessment of the threat level, said technical director Jon Fitje Hoffmann in PST to NTB.
