ISIS' stronghold in Syria, Raqqa, was again bombed by French fighter jets on Monday night. Ten aircraft dropped a total of 16 bombs, said the French Defense Ministry.
Also Russian planes bombed Raqqa yesterday, and continued today.
- The Russian Air Force involvement in Syria should not only continue, it should be stepped up, said Putin after the security service FSB Tuesday confirmed that a bomb blast caused the Russian plane crash in Egypt in October.
IS has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Russian special forces have now been ordered to give priority to the pursuit of the perpetrators, and a bounty of $50 million is promised for information leading to the terrorists being found.
- We will find them wherever they hide on the planet - and we will punish them!, said Putin.
