Around 10am Thursday morning a man in his 20s wearing a Star Wars mask went into Kronan school in Trollhättan in Sweden.

He was armed with two stab weapons, a knife and the other was a sword. He stabbed four people on his way through the school.

Two of these were adult males, and one, a teacher, was confirmed dead at the scene. The other two injured were boys aged 12 and 15 year old. The three injured was brought to hospital and were critically injured. One of the boys later died at the hospital.

When police arrived at the scene they found the first dead teacher in the hallway. Then they found the perpetrator who tried to attack the police. The police fired two shots and hit him with one of them. He suffered serious injuries and are being operated on in hospital.

It is not known what kind of connection the perpetrator has to the school.

According to witnesses, most thought it was a man dressed in a Halloween costume.

- He had a mask, black clothes and a long sword. We could not see his face because of the mask. There were several students who wanted to touch the sword, it was a huge sword, says a 14-year-old.

Fahimeh Nordborg, municipal commissioner in Trollhättan, says that 90 percent of the students at the school are from migrant backgrounds.

A witnesses told the TV channel TV4 that the perpetrator had "blue eyes", but gave no other details on the appearance.
