Liverpool sacked manager Brendan Rodgers on Sunday.

It happened after a 1-1 draw against Everton.

Two seasons ago Liverpool was in the title race, but stumbled just before the end of the season.

Last season was disappointing and created much criticism. Rodgers was under pressure right from the start of the season.

Everton was the best side in Sunday's Liverpool derby, but had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

And today is became clear. Rodgers is blamed for the poor start and will be replaced.

He'll now walk alone.

The German, Jürgen Klopp, is favorite to take over the job as new Liverpool manager.

Until he too has to walk alone.

Since the start of the FA Premier League in February 1992, Liverpool has had a series of managers.

Graeme Souness, Roy Evans, Roy Evans/Gérard Houllier, Gérard Houllier, Rafael Benítez, Roy Hodgson, Kenny Dalglish, and Brendan Rodgers, have all had to walk alone in the club which slogan is You'll never walk alone.
