We need to start planning, so we are ready to govern the country, says Jimmie Åkesson, party leader for the Sweden Democrats (SD) which has had great increase in the polls lately.
SD is the only party in Sweden that is critical to the enormous mass immigration into the country.
SD - which, according to a new poll is to be Sweden's largest party - on Saturday held a summer group meeting in Blekinge.
And it was not with humility that party leader Jimmie Åkesson met his party colleagues. He declared that the immigration critical party is ready to take responsibility and set the political agenda.
"We have come far, but we want to go further. It is about showing that we are able to govern the country, "declared Åkesson according to Aftonbladet.
"It is a long time until the elections, but it is clear that we must already now begin to plan so that we are prepared to take real responsibility for the country. We must be the establishment. We must dominate the public debate," he said.
The party leader, during his speech gave the other parties in parliament the blame for Thursday's tragedy in the Mediterranean, where up to 200 refugees, including several children, drowned in the attempt to reach Europe.
"For what is it that causes people to risk their lives and their children's lives to get to Sweden? I dare say that it is the other partiers relaxed policy that create many of these tragic fates," said Jimmie Åkesson and stated that, among other things, it is important that there will be a referendum on the Swedish immigration policy.
SD, according to a YouGov poll would get 25.2 percent of the votes if elections were held today in Sweden. Thus it would be Sweden's largest party. Swedes are waking up. Finally.
