A total of five men have been arrested, accused of gang rape of a woman in Ludvika during the weekend. Two of the suspects, two Eritreans, were put into custody on Tuesday.
According to data from the judiciary, which Fria Tider has received, at least one of the other three detainees is also an Eritrean.
The gang rape took place on Sunday night, in an apartment in Ludvika. The alarm was received by the Police at 1:21.
The two in custody are 19 to 26 years old, citizens of Eritrea and resident in Ludvika.
They are on probable cause suspected of rape, and detention hearings against the men was held on Tuesday afternoon.
Deputy Chief Prosecutor Gun-Britt Ström says to DT that she has not yet taken a position on whether the other three suspects should be held in custody.
- Because of the confidentiality of judicial investigations, I can not go into the more details than I already have. But the investigation has since the crime was reported progressed and led to the arrests, she says to DT.
Also the perpetrators in the recent IKEA murders were from Eritrea, a country with a 55 percent Muslim majority.

Court: Swedish police must endure being stoned
Police officers who work in so-called "vulnerable areas" must tolerate being subjected to stone throwing. They are therefore not entitled to receive damages after having had stones hurled at them, according to a recent verdict by the Swedish court.
