To Swedish Radio P4, Thomas Gustafsson, Director of Partnerships in Örebro, says that teachers in Swedish schools need to be trained to recognize various symbols of extremist movements. - They should be aware of deviant sides of their students, Gustafsson says to Swedish Radio.
On Monday morning, Swedish Radio P4 reports that teachers in Swedish schools need to be trained to learn to know how various symbols of extremist movements look like. According to Thomas Gustafsson, there are IS sympathies among school children in Sweden.
But do not despair. There is already a plan to deal with the problem of DUMB and IGNORANT teachers in Sweden, and in order to deal with this particular problem, teachers in Örebro will now be trained to recognize, for example, the IS flag.
The way to do this is a seminar, it has been decided (or they could just start watching the news).
- I think there are many who know very little. That is why it is perfectly fine to have such a seminar, because we have to improve our skills to meet this with arguments. It is about skills-development, says Thomas Gustafsson to Swedish Radio P4.
In the radio report it was known that students at a school were asked to put up flags for different countries. In connection with the task, a student put up the infamous black flag of the terrorist organization IS, without the teacher reacting to it, because he didn't recognize it. And the incident does not appear to be isolated, as there are regular reports of students who support terrorist groups, says Gustafsson.
- We get these quite often through the principals and school managers, and we try to look at it together with the police.
