Woman ran marathon without tampon - to defeat sexism
When you think you have heard it all, this emerges.

Kiran Gandhi, 26, ran the London marathon without a tampon and blood was running down her legs during the whole race.

She did this to encourage women around the world to be proud of her period, she told the Mirror.

"I ran the whole marathon with my period blood running down my legs. I felt very empowered by that."

After the race, she happily posed for the cameras despite the blood stain on the pants. Kiran Gandhi had her period the day before the race and thought it would be inconvenient to run with a tampon.

"I ran with blood dripping down my legs for sisters who don't have access to tampons and sisters who, despite cramping and pain, hide it away and pretend like it doesn't exist.

"On the marathon course, sexism can be beaten.

What some nutcase calls defeating sexism, others will simply call disgusting. What do you think?
