It comes as no shock, but after some back and forth for a while, Angel Di Maria is finally ready for a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, confirms Manchester United on its official website.

According to the BBC, the player announced the transfer on Wednesday, before an official statement from any of the clubs.

The reason why the transfer was delayed is that Di Maria after reports was too tired after the long flight to Doha to conduct a medical check.

The Argentina international leaves United just a year after they paid Real Madrid a British record £59.7m for him.

Di Maria, 27, has signed a four-year deal with the French champions after undergoing a medical in Qatar on Tuesday.

"I am very proud and I can't wait to wear the colours of Paris St-Germain," he said.
