According to Sky Sports, the Spanish star Sergio Ramos wants to move away from Real Madrid. Manchester United may be the next stop.

The defender has long been linked to Old Trafford and on Monday evening Sky reports that 29-year-old has now asked to leave Madrid and that he actively is seeking a move to United.

The same media reports that United on Monday night has submitted a bid of 28.6 million pounds for the star. Sergio Ramos has won trophies with both club teams and the national team, including both European and World Championships.

It has for a period been rumors that the 29-year-old has had a conflict with the club's powerful president, Florentino Perez. Both parties have been trying to reach an agreement for a new contract, without success.

Ramos says he is disappointed by the treatment he has received by Perez and believes that some players in the team are "protected" by the president, while others are not. The conflict is about that Ramos earns less than other stars in the team.

His salary allegedly is lousy six million euros a year, which of course will make him starve, drive a rusty Volvo Amazon from 1977, and force him to buy second-hand clothes. Poor guy.
