Four Colombian soldiers were killed when their helicopter landed on a mine on Monday.
Another six of the 15 who were on board the Black Hawk helicopter, were injured in the blast, said the Colombian army.
It is probably the FARC guerrillas who have laid out landmines near Teorama in Norte de Santander province in northeastern Colombia.
Fighting between the army and FARC increased in recent months despite the fact that the parties are in negotiations on Cuba.
FARC rescinded recently its unilateral ceasefire which had lasted since December last year, after a number of soldiers were killed in an attack by government forces.

6,000 refugees picked up and brought to Italy during the weekend
