A female prison guard planned to run away with the two convicted murderers who have escaped from a prison in the United States, according to prosecutors.

The 51-year-old woman was arrested before the weekend, accused of having helped the escapees by smuggling things to them.

Attorney Andrew Wylie believes, however, that the 51-year-old also had agreed to meet the prisoners at a particular place at midnight after the escape last weekend.

- The three were going to flee together. That was the plan, said Wylie to the TV station NBC.

The 51-year-old, however, did not show up at the alleged meeting place near the prison in upstate New York. The escaped prisoners Richard Matt and David Sweat are both convicted of murder.
