A recent poll at Aljazeera.net, which is the Arabic version of Aljazeera.com found that 80% of Muslims who participated in the poll support the ISIS' conquests in Syria and Iraq.
While Western heads of states try their best to distance the Islamic State from Islam, most Arabic speaking Muslims are likely to disagree, a poll shows, where a staggering majority of 80,2% not only supports IS, but are in fact proud of what they do.
One woman comments:
- Of course, every Muslim is proud of their victories. We are all with the Caliphate army.
This was a chance for "moderate" Muslims to step up and vote against the horrors inflicted by ISIS, also against other Muslims, but it didn't happen.
So why is that? Well, ISIS do follow the Quran and Hadiths, and they have imposed a strict Sharia law (Islamic law). In fact everything they do is according to the teachings of Islam.
For example, the Quran says:
"Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."
"And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]...and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah."
Another Surah says:
"Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority".
While this one approves all the beheadings:
"I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"
These are just a few of the verses promoting Jihad in the Quran, so when Muslims support the Islamic State (ISIS), it's because it's according to the Quran.
