A powerful earthquake has been triggered off the coast of Japan.
The earthquake off the island of Honshu on Wednesday morning local time had a magnitude of 6.8, according to the US Geological Survey.
The epicenter was located 12 mil southeast of Morioka.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reports that there is no danger of any tsunami caused by the earthquake.
