On Thursday several tornadoes hit the states Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and Nebraska. The powerful storms have led to that the main airport in Oklahoma has been forced to close.
According to CNN, Oklahoma was hardest hit of the four states.
At least 13 people were injured when a tornado swept through an area where there were several caravans.
Large amounts of water have led to flooding several places, which has led to many washed-out roads.
- There is debris everywhere and there is plenty of water on the roads, says Pail Timmons in the Oklahoma police according to CNN.
The Zoo Tiger Safari in Tuttle in Oklahoma reported that several animals escaped when a tornado hit the town.
The park is home to several exotic animals, but it was unclear whether tigers also were among the animals that had come loose. Residents in the area were asked to stay indoors, according to television station Channel 4 News.
However, the sheriff of the Grady County district on Thursday morning announced that all the animals were under control again.
Gov. Mary Fallin in the state of Oklahoma has warned of a possible martial law in the state.
