At least 40 Swedish citizens who have traveled to the Middle East to fight for the terrorist group Islamic state, (ISIS) have been killed, says the new figures from the Swedish Security Service, according to the news agency TT.

Säpo's previous estimate was that 30-35 Swedish citizens had died in battles for the Muslim organization, but a week ago the death toll was raised to 35-40.

Peder Hyllengren, which is a terrorism researcher at the Swedish National Defence College, told TT that the number is "extraordinary".

In total Säpo estimate that at least 300 Swedish citizens are fighting for ISIS.

Of course those who survive and make it back to Sweden, are rewarded with jobs and benefits.

Because, according to Swedish politicians, ISIS terrorists are the victims.
