The 63-year-old has a contract at Old Trafford until 2017, and now he admits that there will be no more manager jobs for him the day he walks out the gates in Manchester.

- I'm old. This is my last job. Guaranteed, says van Gaal in an interview with the British newspaper Daily Telegraph.

- I must follow up my children, my grandchildren and also my wife. They deserve it, adds the Dutchman.

The workload in his current job does not allow for the family life he envisions after his career is over. Then the days will be spent with his wife on holiday at the Algarve coast in Portugal.

- Now I can not spend time on it. For example I was not in my grandson's birthday. I do not like that, he says.

- I have a paradise in Portugal. I would like to quit and go there, play golf and eat amazing food, he adds.
