A letter sent to the White House, probably contains the poison cyanide. The sender is known to the authorities.

Preliminary tests indicate that there was cyanide in the letter that was received on Monday, said the Secret Service, which is responsible for safeguarding the US president.

A sender address was written on the letter, according to a police document that website The Intercept has been granted access to.

The address allegedly belongs a man who the Secret Service has been aware of since 1995. The man allegedly sent a package of urine and feces in the mail previously.
