Toto's Mike Porcaro has passed away
The bassist of the American rock band Toto, Mike Porcaro, is dead, 59 years old.

- Our brother Mike died peacefully in his home surrounded by family, Steve Porcaro wrote on Facebook.

Porcaro was bassist in Toto from 1982. The band was formed in 1977, and songs like "Hold the Line" (1978), "Rosanna" (1982) and "Africa" (1983) are among the group's successes.

In February 2010, Porcaro was diagnosed with ALS, which is an incurable disease that attacks the nerve neurons in the spinal cord and brain.

Toto guitarist Steve Lukather also expressed his sorrow on Facebook.

- I will miss him more than I can ever put into words. My thoughts go to his family.
